What we do

Each journal in the UK-VET collection - Companion Animal, Livestock, UK-Vet Equine and The Veterinary Nurse - publishes clinical reviews, case reports, self-assessment articles, best practice guidance and research articles, accompanied by online CPD programmes to enable practitioners to fulfil their annual CPD requirements.

Launched in 1995, Companion Animal is the dedicated, monthly journal that looks after the needs of vets who care for small animals. The journal is an authoritative, accessible, peer-reviewed publication that keeps vets abreast of clinical developments.

Livestock was launched in 1995 and is the only dedicated, peer-reviewed veterinary livestock journal that covers cattle, sheep, pigs and camelids. Of particular interest to livestock practitioners are its clinical updates and reviews. In addition, its clinical forums invite a panel to discuss a timely and often controversial subject area of interest to livestock vets, and its Cattle Review pages look at the latest published research.

UK-Vet Equine is the practical, peer-reviewed CPD journal for equine vets. Each issue of UK-Vet Equine contains articles written by specialists or recognised experts in their field, and is double-blind peer-reviewed to ensure its accuracy. Its content is practical and topical and aimed at vets providing first opinion equine work.

The Veterinary Nurse is the only international, peer-reviewed journal for veterinary nurses. Written by nurses for nurses it provides clinical, practical, professional and educational articles for veterinary nurses in the United Kingdom, as well as overseas. It is perfect for the veterinary nurse who wishes to enhance their practice and understanding of veterinary nursing – the evidence-based articles draw on practice from all over the world to help promote best practice.
